Featured Thatbyinnyu Temple

King Alaungsithu built the Thatbyinn temple in the Pagan (Bagan) Dynasty in 1144/45. Thatbyinnyu Temple is the tallest temple in Bagan alongside the Shwesandaw stupa.

On 6 July 2019, the Bagan Archaeological Area became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Thatbyinnyu Temple’s UNESCO designation is Monument #1597.
